By a couple of 9 year old punks aka my son and his friend..We had invited Ethan's friend J over for dinner..
When his Mom comes to pick him up..he can't find his shoes..
So while his Mom is waiting at the door..I am scrambling about looking everywhere for the shoes..
The boys are helping too..
His Mom had to leave to pick up her other son, so she tells me to call her when we find them and she'll come back to pick up J..
The Mom leaves..we look and look and look..
They are nowhere to be found..
Shoes don't just disappear..
I keep asking J where he could have put them.
He shows me where he took them off..
So we keep looking and looking..at this point I notice that the boys aren't trying very hard..
and J keeps saying he's going to have to spend the night if we can't find them..
So, I get the hus to come help..
He is much smarter than me and can think like a 9 year old..
So he says they're probably hiding them...
He asks..
"Yo dudes, you hiding the shoes?"
Right away they run towards the pantry and pull out the shoes..
and I'm like..what the #%$@!!
How could they make me run around looking like a major dumb a**..
I am way to trusting and way to guilable..
I seriously couldn't believe they pulled a fast one on me..
They thought they were so cool..
So a half hour later I call back the Mom and tell her what a naughty kid she has..;-)
and the hus drives him home..
I was totally played and I know it won't be the last time.
Have your kids pulled a fast one on you??

haha...kids are sneaky little imps, aren't they? I have a nine-year-old son, too. And I *love* busting him on stuff. He's still young enough to be amazed by my mad mommy skillz...he doesn't understand how darn transparent he is!
But...I'm sure it's just a matter of time before he becomes a successful sneaky teen. *sigh*
When I was 9 my friend and I used to do stuff like that to our mothers.
Can't wait to see your vlog :-)
OMG! Right now my son has a friend over. He spent the night last night. Mom is coming in an hour...do you think I should find his shoes now? hehehe. Oh...and today is his birthday and he's now 10. Glad you posted this so I can keep an eye out for those kinds of things. So far he hasn't done anything like that.
Following you from Friday Follow. I'm late in getting around to everyone but have to say I'm loving my second week! Loving your blog too!

Oh my! That is too funy! You definitely got played...these kids are so smart these day. ;)
Can't wait until tomorrow! Off to check out the master baths now...I think I missed it while I was at work yesterday!
I get played all the time. Especially when it comes to getting me to let them stay up later. I say 9m they say 9:30, I say 9:15, they say 9:05...Can't wait to see pics of the new house!
I have a teenage son who pulls one over on us daily, so don't feel too bad. The lying gets better as they get older :)
Oh I am sooo not looking forward to gettin' played! lol
Boys are so good at those trickerys...I am not looking forward to this at all!
Good luck with all your painting!
Hmmm, my friends and I used to do stuff like that all the time! It gave up more time to play or spend the night and was quite hilarious!
Hahaha, I love it:) Tricky boys you have there!
I was played at Christmas by my 4 year old. She wanted a Nintendo DS and we told her she was too young, then one day she comes home from preschool and declares that she's not too young because her bff has one! So, we break down, and Santa brings her one for Christmas. Over Christmas I took my daughter and her bff to a movie. While we were in the car, I ask her friend if she got any new Nintendo DS games for Christmas. She says, "I don't have a DS."
Grrrrr!! In her defense, her friend did have a Leapster, and my daughter claimed she said her friend had something "like a DS."
Haha, boys are too funny! They though they could outsmart everyone. Good thing for Dad picking up on their little trick.
Can't wait for getting to know you tomorrow!
Bawhahahahaha....boys!
Oh my gosh that is too funny!!
I know I am way behind and out of the loop but I did not know you bought a house? Did I?
That is too funny! I would have been snookered too...sigh!Have a great day tomorrow!

That is flipp'n hilarious.... Oh the fun...
I have not had a fast one pulled on me yet. They are still too young, but ohhhhh I am ready and waiting!
They say girls are sneakier than boys, but I have one of each, and I think the boys are worse!
what a funny story.
