Abs of Steel..Here we come!

First off..I want to say thanks..Thank you so much for joining in on our "campaign"...I am honestly so excited to be co-hosting it with Mama M and I'm excited to get to know all of you better too.

A little background on moi..4 years ago I became a certified Pilates instructor...I taught Pilates 2-3 days a week at my local YMCA..I also taught some aerobic classes too.  I was also certified in spinning, but never taught it. I have been doing Pilates for years..I've had a couple of reformers that I used at home.  I havta admit...it's been awhile since I've done any Pilates.  I stopped teaching when we left California 3 years ago.

Exercise is a lifestyle for me..I thoroughly enjoy doing it.  I don't do much Pilates anymore..Running is my exercise of choice.  Anyway, after I had my 3rd baby..I kinda gave up on doing any ab work..Oh, I did it for a couple months right after I had her..I was desperate to get my waist whiddled down..and I've done some ab stuff here and there since then, but nothing consistant...My ab motivation has been lacking to say the least.

Therfore I thought, why not start with an ab exercise to kick  off the fitness tips...For those of us who have had babies our tummies most likely don't look like they did before..I know for me..my stomach muscles have been stretched to the peak and there's a cavernous hole between them(slight, very slight exageration), I also have some unsightly stretched out skin..(You're welcome for the visual)
For this weeks exercise I chose The Pilates Hundred. Maybe you've tried it before, maybe not. Either way it's awesome for getting your abs back!(even if you haven't had kids) It works your core muscles and brings them back from the depths of despair. I need this exercise too!  So I will be doing it also..and I'm looking forward to seeing some results.
Check out the video below..It tells you exactly how to do The Hundred. After you've watched it..try it! I would love it if you did it at least 3 days a week..it literally takes less than 2 minutes..pretty easy to fit in, I'd say.

For you pregnant ladies..you can still do The Hundred. All you need to do is prop some rolled up blankets or pillows behind your back so you're sitting up more..There won't be so much strain on Le belly.  I also have a fantastic Pilates DVD..It can be used while pregnant and after..It's up for grabs if anyone wants it!  Just let me know.  First one to let me know gets it.

Make sure to head on over to Mama M's blog to get the Healthy tip. Mama M knows what she's talking about..being a nurse and all..She reigns supreme in all things healthy. So go to Mama M for all your health related questions. She'll also have a  Hot and Healthy discussion going on in her blogfrog community.   Also, I would encourage you to grab the button on either my blog or Mama M's. Oh and comments..Let's try to leave encouraging comments on each other's blogs.

Another way we can encourage and motivate each other is to follow on Twitter..a good way to check in on each other's progress too..follow me here.

I will be answering questions etc in my blogfrog community..

Enjoy the video!
